    Dr. Elisseou

    is a board-certified surgeon specializing in hand surgery. His expertise is the treatment of hand, wrist, and forearm pathologies, including fractures, tendon injuries, general trauma, arthritis, trigger finger, and carpal and cubital tunnel syndromes. Dr. Elisseou earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Brown University, where he served as executive chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in hand surgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Louisville. He obtained his MBA at Yale School of Management. Dr. Elisseou is committed to excellence in patient care and surgical outcomes.

    Raghuveer Muppavarapu, MD is the Chief of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Carney Hospital.  He is a fellowship-trained orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgeon and oversees the St. Elizabeth’s Orthopedic Hand Center.  Dr. Muppavarapu specializes in hand and upper extremity fractures, trigger finger, carpal tunnel, hand and wrist deformity, and hand rejuvenation.  Dr. Muppavarapu earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Chicago where he was in a 7-year early acceptance combined medical and undergraduate program.  He completed his Orthopedic surgery residency at the Tufts Affiliated Hospitals Orthopedic Residency Program in Boston and his fellowship in Orthopedic upper extremity surgery at the prestigious New York University/Hospital of Joint Diseases in New York City.  As a clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Muppavarapu was recently awarded the Clinical Preceptor of the Year award.  He has authored numerous orthopedic scientific articles and book chapters on injuries of the hand, wrist, and elbow and he lectures both locally and internationally.  He is actively involved in research to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
