    Dr. Day is the chief of Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery and the director of the Boston Orthopedic Hand Center at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. He is board certified in both orthopedic surgery and hand surgery. Dr. Day has garnered national and international recognition from his participation in the prestigious American, British, Canadian traveling fellowship on behalf of the American Orthopedic Association and also the Sterling Bunnell traveling fellowship on behalf of the American Society of Surgery of the Hand. He has published more than 70 scientific peer-reviewed papers on numerous clinical conditions of the hand and wrist. Dr. Day also co-chaired the national ACGME Milestones committee for Hand Surgery. Throughout the years, he has been named one of the Boston Magazine’s Top Docs in Hand Surgery.

    Dr. Day was a Rabkin Medical Education Fellow at the Shapiro Institute for Education and Research at Harvard Medical School. In addition, he completed a fellowship in orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgery at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Day completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Stanford University, earned his medical degree from the University of California in San Francisco and MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
