St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Awarded “A” Safety Grade by Independent Industry Watchdog

St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine and member of Steward Health Care, was awarded an “A” grade in the Fall 2014 update to the Hospital Safety Score, which rates how well hospitals protect patients from accidents, errors, injuries and infections.

Steward Announces New Partnership with AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Steward St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center join to provide integrated cancer care

Beginning this summer, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute will provide hematology and medical oncology care under a new agreement at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, a part of the Steward Health Care System (Steward). This new partnership enables St. Elizabeth’s patients with cancer to remain in their local hospital and receive world-class cancer care provided by experienced Dana-Farber doctors and nurses in partnership with their Steward doctors.

St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Named #1 Hospital in Massachusetts for Interventional Coronary Care by Independent Ratings Group

St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, a part of the Steward Health Care System (Steward), earned top honors in Massachusetts for interventional coronary care from CareChex, an independent hospital quality ratings organization that provides a composite evaluation of all components of medical quality, including process of care, outcomes of care, and patient experiences. CareChex also ranked St. Elizabeth’s overall surgical and trauma care among the top 10 percent in Massachusetts and across the country.
