  Arvind K. Agnihotri
  Cardiac Surgery, Robotic Surgery

  Arvind Agnihotri, MD, chief of the Center for Advanced Cardiac Surgery, is a leader in the field of cardiac surgery and the most experienced minimally invasive cardiac surgeon in the region. Dr. Agnihotri's special interests include complex adult cardiac surgery, minimally invasive and robotic mitral valve repair, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement, minimally invasive bypass surgery, off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, and aortic surgery. He is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. Prior to joining St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, he was the director of Cardiac Quality Assessment and Improvement for the Partners Health Care System, and director of the Robotic Heart Surgery Program and transcatheter valve program at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Agnihotri has a diverse background in engineering, computer science, and mathematics, and has published numerous publications and book chapters. His areas of interest include device development, outcomes research, database development, the electronic medical record and medical simulation. He holds several memberships, including the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.

  Ara Ketchedjian
  Cardiac Surgery

  Ara Ketchedjian, MD, joined St. Elizabeth’s from Boston Medical Center. Dr. Ketchedjian completed his cardiothoracic residency at Boston University School of Medicine; was chief resident, general surgery, and a clinical instructor in surgery at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island; and completed his general surgery residency at Brown University School of Medicine as well. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Syracuse Medical School and completed his undergraduate education at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Dr. Ketchedjian is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He has a special clinical interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complex thoracic oncology, valvular heart disease and tissue engineering.

  Stanley Tam
  Cardiac Surgery

  Prior to joining St. Elizabeth's advanced cardiac surgery team, Stanley Tam, MD, served as the chief of cardiac surgery at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center and was recruited to help turnaround that institution’s cardiac surgical program. Dr. Tam is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School where he also completed a residency in general surgery. He completed a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the following year was the chief resident of pediatric cardiovascular surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Tam was a cardiac surgery Research Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School; and a cardiology Research Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital, Cellular and Molecular Physiology, Harvard Medical School. He also holds an MBA from Columbia Business School at Columbia University in New York.

  Divakar Mandapati
  Cardiac Surgery

  Divakar Mandapati, MD, is an experienced cardiac surgeon who most recently served as Associate Professor, Director of Aortic Surgery, Co-Director, UMass TAVI Program, Division of Cardiac Surgery, University of Massachusetts Medical School at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Mandapati served as a cardiac surgeon at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and as chief of Cardiac Surgery at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Dr. Mandapati is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Mandapati completed several residencies, including a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Yale University School of Medicine and earned his medical degree at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune University.
