The multidisciplinary team at St. Elizabeth's works closely with each other and with patients, educating and helping them decide which surgical weight loss option is best for them. Our team is led by two highly respected surgeons, a primary care physician, experienced nurse coordinators, nutritionists, physical therapists, psychiatrists and psychologists. We are all deeply committed to making your experience at the Center for Weight Control as successful as possible.

Anthony L. McCluney, MD, Assistant Director of Steward Center for Weight Control, Bariatric Surgeon
Anthony McCluney, MD, is a board-certified surgeon and the assistant director of Steward Center for Weight Control. He has completed advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery training. Dr. McCluney earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School.

Matthew LeMaitre, MD, known as 'the patient's surgeon', is actively involved in raising obesity
awareness through community efforts. He believes long-term weight loss success depends on building support both personal and in the community. To that end, he en
gages actively with support groups, runs a 5k walk/run group, travels the country speaking on the topic of obesity awareness and fundraises to fight an epidemic that he calls "The One Disease" as it underlies most of the health issues facing Americans today. He was also instrumental in bringing organizations like the Weight-Loss Surgery Foundation of America (WLSFA) to the east coast.

Suzanne Saindon, DO, performs medical management for the St. Elizabeth’s Center for Weight Control and serves as a primary care physician in the Steward® Medical Group, Newton Internal Medicine practice.

Natasha Martin, MSN, F-NP, Nurse Practitioner
Martin received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons College, Boston, and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Alysha Bruso, RD, Registered Dietitian
Alysha Bruso, RD, received her undergraduate degree in dietetics from Framingham State University and is currently working towards her master's degree in Psychology, specializing in addiction and compulsive disorders, from California Southern University. Alysha is committed to helping her clients reach their goals and change their lives in a healthy and sustainable way.
Viviane Fornasaro-Donahue,MS, RD, LDN, CLC, Registered Dietitian
Viviane F. Donahue, MS, RD, LDN, CLC is a Registered Dietitian with the Center for Weight Control. She completed her baccalaureate degree in Nutrition from an accredited University in São Paulo, Brazil. She then went on to receive her master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science with a concentration in Research through the University of Rhode Island. Donahue has dedicated most of her professional years providing nutritional counseling to a diverse population in the community. She is committed to providing evidenced-based, patient centered care to help them find freedom from diets and achieve their nutritional goals. Her favorite part of the job is to see the patients dramatically improve the quality of their lives.
