Sofia Pevzner, HIS

Pevzner

Sofia Pevzner, HIS, received her bachelor’s degree from Boston University. She began working as an audiology assistant at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in 2014 and then received her Hearing Instrument Specialist License in 2016. She has had a variety of work experiences which included newborn hearing screening, performing hearing tests and dispensing hearing aids. Currently, Ms. Pevzner is the manager of the Hearing Aid Center at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. Her primary focuses are amplification and research in hearing and understanding speech in noise.

 

 

Mark A Parker, PhD

Parker

Mark A Parker, PhD, earned his MS in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and his PhD in Neuroscience at LSU. He conducted his post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School in the area of hair cell regeneration. For the past decade and a half, he has researched stem cell and gene therapies for the treatment of hearing loss. His clinical research is involved in developing belter diagnostic tests to identify hidden hearing loss and to improve hearing aid outcomes. Dr. Parker currently serves as the director of Audiology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at Tufts University School of Medicine.
