St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Awards Scholarships to Three Allston and Brighton Residents

Annual St. Elizabeth’s Scholarship awards total of $15,000 to locals pursuing higher education in health care

[Boston, MA] – December 27, 2016 – St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center congratulates the three recipients of the annual St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Scholarship to benefit local residents pursuing health care-related higher education. The three recipients are Leah Buckley attending the MGH Institute of Health Professionals, Taylor Hanley attending St. Anslem College and Ciara O'Shea attending University of Connecticut.

Each received a $5,000 scholarship toward their studies. The St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center’s Scholarship is in its 9th year. To date, St. Elizabeth’s has awarded 27 scholarships for a total of $135,000. Each recipient must be a resident of Allston or Brighton and enrolled in a college or graduate degree program in health care.

On hand to congratulate the recipients were State Representative Kevin Honan and Boston City Councilor Mark Ciommo, Rosie Hanlon, Administrative Coordinator at the Jackson Mann Community Center and St. E’s Task Force member along with other members of the St. Elizabeth’s Task Force.
