St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Steward Medical Group Welcomes Hepatobiliary Surgeon Scott R. Johnson, MD

Dr. Scott R. Johnson joins the Steward Medical Group and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center families as a hepatobiliary surgeon and general surgeon based in the Medical Office Building, Suite 201 located on the St. Elizabeth’s campus.

Dr. Johnson is an experienced surgeon who specializes in hepatobiliary surgery, which focuses on diseases of the liver, gall bladder and bile duct. Dr. Johnson will be working collaboratively with the Division of Gastroenterology at St. Elizabeth’s as well as performing cases using the NanoKnife IRE System. In addition, Dr. Johnson will be performing general surgery. He begins seeing patients in July.

Dr. Johnson joins St. Elizabeth’s from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he was an attending surgeon in their Transplant Surgery division. Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati Ohio. He completed both a residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Transplant Surgery at the University of Cincinnati.
