Kevin Hannifan Named President of St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center

Steward Health Care System LLC (Steward) announced that Kevin Hannifan has been named President of St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Mass.

“Kevin is a proven, health care leader who has had a successfully led a number of high-quality hospitals in New York and Connecticut,” said Josh Putter, President, Steward Hospitals. “Kevin will bring his 33 years of knowledge and skills in the health care industry to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center to bring exceptional care to the Greater-Brighton community.”

Prior to joining Steward, Hannifan was the Senior Vice President for Operations for the Tisch and Rusk Hospitals in New York, NY, and the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. He also has served as Chief Executive Officer at Methodist Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Hannifan holds a B.A. in Economics from Catholic University and a Masters in Health Administration from Duke University.
