Vascular Center Medicine and Surgery

Under the leadership of Frank Pomposelli, Jr., MD, chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Elizabeth's, our Vascular Center offers patients a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to vascular medicine sand surgery working hand-in-hand with specialists including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists and more. Every patients care team is led by a board-certified specialist in our vascular surgery and vascular medicine programs.

The hub of our Vascular Center is the McGrath Family Cardiovascular Center designed to promote comfort and privacy for each patient.

Specific services offered include:

Interventional Vascular Laboratory: Provides the latest in state-of-the-art technology and treatment. The interventional vascular medicine staff performs complete diagnostic angiography, as well as intravascular ultrasound, and physiologic lesion assessment with .014 inch pressure wires.

St. Elizabeth’s Vein Therapy Center: Offers services for those suffering from venous insufficiency. More than 100 million Americans have varicose veins, many of whom think that surgery is the only treatment option. However, with technological advances, nonsurgical procedures like endovenous laser therapy (EVLT) are safe, effective and do not require hospitalization. St. Elizabeth’s Vein Therapy Center offers venous duplex ultrasound to diagnose venous insufficiency in addition to sclerotherapy and EVLT to treat spider veins and varicose veins.
