The St. Elizabeth’s infectious disease team provides comprehensive consultation, care and management for all infectious disease conditions. Team members have been named among the “Best Doctors in Infectious Disease” by Boston Magazine and have received awards for “Compassionate Care” by the Boston Business Journal, and for excellence in teaching.
Infectious disease experts work closely with patients, referring physicians and families and with St. Elizabeth’s specialists in all fields in providing prompt, expert diagnosis and treatment with the compassion for which St. Elizabeth’s is known.
Care is delivered in state-of-the-art facilities on our conveniently located campus, with easily accessible inexpensive parking. Translators are available on site, as are referrals to a variety of social service agencies and support networks.
We regularly diagnose and expertly treat endocarditis, HIV/AIDS, Lyme disease osteomyelitis, sexually transmitted diseases, fever of unknown origin and tuberculosis exposure.
We are experts at treating severe community-acquired infections, HIV/AIDS, hospital-acquired infections, infections of the skin, soft tissue or bone, diabetic foot infections, pneumonia, and travel-related infections and tropical diseases such as malaria and tuberculosis.

St. Elizabeth’s infectious disease physicians are known for their research on disease-causing bacteria, for their studies of HIV/AIDS, and for their expertise in institutional management of antibiotic usage. We offer fellowship training in infectious disease as an affiliate of the Tufts Medical Center program, and education for physicians, residents and medical students.
