A Patient Advocate is Ready to Help

St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center encourages the public and its staff to share their concerns regarding patient care or safety with administration through its patient advocate by calling 617-.789-2040. When those concerns cannot be resolved through the hospital, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals may be contacted at 800-994-6610.

Our patient advocate is also available to provide personalized assistance to you or your family, explain hospital routines and address your questions or concerns. You may reach the patient advocate Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On off hours, the nursing supervisor on your floor is available to handle urgent issues.

Any person or staff member, including physicians, who has concerns about patient care or safety in the organization is encouraged to contact the appropriate manager. If the concerns are not adequately resolved, the individual is encouraged by the organization to contact The Joint Commission, without concern of retaliatory or disciplinary action, at One Renaissance Boulevard, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois 60181 or 630-792-5000.
