    St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center became the first hospital in New England to use the Lutonix 035 Drug Coated Balloon PTA Catheter, a new device to treat patients with peripheral artery disease. The device will offer patients the ability to undergo endovascular procedures to treat peripheral vascular disease that “leave nothing behind” and offers new hope for patients who suffer from symptomatic peripheral vascular disease or are at risk for lower extremity amputations.

    Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is opening its newest satellite location for hematology and oncology services at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, extending a partnership that has been in place since 2011. Under this new arrangement, patients with blood disorders and cancer will receive cancer care provided by experienced Dana-Farber doctors and nurses at St. Elizabeth’s campus in Brighton.
