Welcome to the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine.  Our Department provides the anesthetic management for a variety of surgical operations including cardiothoracic, neurologic, orthopedic, general, urologic, gynecologic, bariatric and obstetric procedures. In addition, the department devotes special interest to the areas of obstetric anesthesia and acute and chronic pain. State-of-the-art care for the expectant mother is provided by specialists in the Women's Health Pavilion. Our Pain Management Center provides a multidisciplinary approach to successful and rapid resolution of painful complaints.

Members of the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Management hold faculty appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine and are all Board certified in Anesthesiology. Some of the faculty are certified by other specialty Boards as well.
